Woodstock Cancels 2018 Christmas Parade (UPDATED)

The city will host an Evening with Santa at the Chambers at City Center from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1.

WOODSTOCK, GA — The city of Woodstock has decided to call off its annual Christmas Jubilee and Parade of Lights Celebration. Woodstock made the decision based on current and forecast weather conditions slated for the area.

"Conditions have been forecast to be unsafe at parade time," the city said Saturday. The parade will not be rescheduled.

To stay in the holiday spirit, the Woodstock Parks and Recreation Department will offer an Evening with Santa at the Chambers at City Center from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 1 The Chambers at City Center is located at 8534 Main Street.

This event will feature the presentation of the Citizen of the Year Award to Bonny Keheley, followed by visits with Santa Claus, cupcake decorating, holiday music, crafts for the kids, hot chocolate and cider.
