Woodstock Police Arrest Armed Robbery Suspects Found In Walmart

Two men approached a woman Friday morning at a gas pump at the Circle K, 12155 Hwy 92, took out a gun and demanded her purse and car.

WOODSTOCK, GA — Woodstock Police arrest two men following an armed robbery call at a local gas station early Friday morning.

Shortly before 1:30 a.m. on Friday, the Woodstock Police Department responded to an armed robbery call at the Circle K gas station, 12155 Hwy 92.

Officers determined two males approached a female at the gas pumps and took out a handgun, demanded her purse, vehicle, and other valuables. During the incident, the victim was able to escape into the Circle K where she was able to contact 911.

The suspects were seen on video fleeing across Hwy 92 on foot. At 6:10 a.m., Woodstock Police officers, with the help of Walmart employees, were able to locate both men inside Walmart.

Kerrik McCaslin, 21, of Atlanta and Brandon Kemp, 26, of Smyrna were apprehended a short time later and taken into custody without incident.

Both men were charged with armed robbery, hijacking a motor vehicle, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon during commission of a felony, entering auto, financial transaction card theft, and theft by taking.

The Woodstock Police Department thanks Walmart and its employees "for their vigilance and assistance in locating the suspects."
