Woodstock Police To Offer Self-Defense Course

The course is free and available to Woodstock residents.

Woodstock residents who want to learn how to defend themselves will be able to do so in March.

The Woodstock Police Department will offer a free self-defence class to city residents from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday March 2 at Woodstock City Annex.

The class is taught in a partnership with the National Self Defense Company.

Space for the class limited and is filled on a first come, first serve basis. Students must be at least 14 years old to participate.

Also, all participants are required to sign a waiver and youth participants are required to have a waiver signed by their parent or guardian.

The two-hour course will give residents the chance to participate in one-on-one instruction in a controlled environment.
