Hawaii State Public Library Announces 2020 Nēnē Award Winner
The Nēnē Award is Hawaii's Children's Choice book award. This year we have two winners: a fiction chapter book and a graphic novel.

The Nēnē Award is Hawaii’s Children’s Choice book award. Each Spring, Hawaii’s fourth through sixth grade students vote for the best book they have read from a list of 30 nominees compiled by a group of public and school librarians. This year we have two winners: a fiction chapter book and a graphic novel.

- Fiction: The Wild Robot by Peter Brown
- Graphic Novel: Cardboard Kingdom by Chad Sell
