The events are open to current Medicare members and those who are turning 65. Seniors can enroll in Medicare for the first time within a seven—month window: three months before their 65th birthday, their birthday month and three months after their birthday.

“What better way to meet our seniors face to face while allowing them to stay safe in the comfort of their vehicles,” said Pacific Benefit Options President Greg Yamane, who is also regional Hawaii sales manager for Advocate Health Advisors.

Yamane and several other licensed agents will be greeting visitors in their cars and providing them with tablets showing video presentations about Medicare Advantage plans for 2021. Visitors then will be able to enroll in Medicare plans immediately using the tablet.

The agents will be wearing masks, face shields and gloves to keep visitors safe from the spread of COVID-19. Organizers also will be taking temperatures of agents before the event begins.
