The repair project aims to fill the holes and various voids at several points along the ramp. The intent of these repairs is to address the immediate hazardous conditions while preventing worse damage from immediately occurring.

The work will require the continued closure of the boat ramp and a portion of the parking lot on the Lanikai side of the beach park. The public is encouraged to be mindful and avoid the immediate area as much as possible. No other park facilities are expected to be impacted by this emergency project.

The ramp was closed in early February as ramp’s deficiencies continued to worsen, posing a hazard to park users and those accessing the ocean via the ramp.

The estimated cost of the emergency repairs is $74,000, with the final cost being determined by the extent of the repairs conducted by the contractor, Sea Engineering, Inc.
