HONOLULU – The Department of Environmental Services (ENV) responded today to multiple sanitary sewer overflows caused by heavy rains across Oahu. Stormwater infiltrated sewer pipes surcharging various manholes releasing a mixture of stormwater and wastewater.

The state Department of Health (DOH) was notified. Crews will place warning signs beginning Tuesday morning.
ENV will update spill volumes when spills are contained and data is processed.
