REMINDER: Waialua Beach Road Bridge 605 Remains Closed For Repairs In Honolulu

With the possibility of flash flooding today through the weekend, there should be no use or crossing of the bridge for any reason.

WAIALUA - The City and County of Honolulu's Department of Transportation Services (DTS) and the Department of Design and Construction (DDC), is reminding the public that Bridge 605, Waialua Beach Road Ki‘iki‘i Stream Crossing is completely closed to all pedestrian, bike, and vehicular traffic, while expedited engineering and repair is underway. The bridge, located on Waialua Beach Road between Goodale Avenue to the west and Haleʻiwa Road to the east, is anticipated to remain fully closed until fall 2021.

With the possibility of flash flooding today through the weekend, there should be no use or crossing of the bridge for any reason. Recent reports of pedestrians, bicyclists, motorcyclists, and fishermen bypassing signage and barriers have been reported to the City; we urge all users in the area to comply with posted signage and utilize signed detour routes.
