Traffic Advisory For Kolokolo Place Channel Emergency Repairs In Honolulu

HONOLULU – The public is advised that emergency repair work on Kolokolo Place Channel along Lunalilo Home Road between Kaiama Place and Kolokolo Street in Hawai‘i Kai is scheduled to start the week of April 19 and is expected to be completed next month.

The project includes stabilizing a portion of the drainage channel wall, which is leaning due to movement in the area, with structural steel beams located at the upper portion of the wall and concrete curbs located at the bottom of the wall. Also, a damaged fence post will be replaced.

Working hours are between 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Motorists are advised to observe all construction signs and traffic control devices, use caution while driving through the construction area and allow for extra travel time.
