Traffic Advisory: Makaikai Street And Kuaoa Street Pavement Repairs In Honolulu
Weather and conditions permitting, the work is anticipated to be completed by Friday, July 2, 2021.

HONOLULU – The Department of Facility Maintenance will partially close Makaikai Street between Meheula Parkway and Kuena Street to perform necessary pavement repairs beginning Tuesday, June 1, 2021, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Upon completion of Makaikai Street road work, the Department of Facility Maintenance will partially close Kuaoa Street between Meheula Parkway and Pa‘ali‘i Street to perform necessary pavement repairs. Weather and conditions permitting, the work is anticipated to be completed by Friday, July 2, 2021. There will be no road work on King Kamehameha Day, Friday, June 11, 2021.

Motorists and pedestrians are advised to avoid the area if possible and use alternate routes. Please allow for extra travel time and abide by posted traffic signs. Special Duty Honolulu Police Department Officers will be posted at the work site to assist with traffic control.
Access to driveways along Makaikai Street and Kuaoa Street may be restricted while construction work is being performed fronting the affected properties. Emergency access will be accommodated as needed.
