Waikele Premium Outlets Now Offering Digital Voice Translators

WHAT: Waikele Premium Outlets is excited to announce that Digital Voice Translators are now available for non-English-speaking shoppers, making Waikele the first Simon property to provide this revolutionary amenity. This brand-new offering is Waikele Premium Outlets’ next step towards eliminating language barriers for guests while on property.

The Digital Voice Translators – which supports over 28 languages including Japanese, Korean and Chinese – will allow shoppers to translate their speech to better communicate with sales associates and others while on property. The device offers both audio output and two-way communication, meaning it will speak a guest’s translation out loud and allow sales associates to respond. The translator also has a screen that displays the original sentence in text form, so users can confirm the device correctly detected the words spoken.

Guests interested in renting a Digital Voice Translator can visit the Information Center during regular mall hours, where a device can be rented for $10 cash for up to 4 hours.
