The original German Oktoberfest tradition takes place every year in Munich. It’s a cultural extravaganza, and this year, its celebrating it’s 184th anniversary. Now that’s a lot of beer!
When it comes to celebrating the German tradition in the states, Oktoberfest events in Idaho are famous for paying tribute to the country’s heritage and rich culture, as well as serving up a ton of German food and beer.

2017 Oktoberfests Across Idaho
Oktoberfest Old Boise, September 30th
- 6th Street Boise between Idaho and Grove streets, Boise
- Head to downtown Boise on September 30th to take part in the city's Oktoberfest celebrations! Come grab a stein of Bavarian beer, a plate full of traditional German food, and listen to some great music to fully take part in the observance of the German culture.

Harrison Oktoberfest, October 7th
- City Park, Harrison
- On October 7th, Harrison puts on its annual Oktoberfest in the city park, complete with beers and ciders from various local breweries, classic German fare, and more. Different games and activities will also be played, so make sure to bring the whole family along!

Lava Hot Springs Oktoberfest, October 6th

- Come celebrate Lava’s Oktoberfest with a kickoff party Friday night. Now that Fall is here it is time to drink some beer! Enjoy live entertainment while sampling five different types of Harvest beer and delicious hors d’oeuvres created by the Portneuf Grille Chefs.
