April 1 joke? No, Roaring Springs Opening Date
If the weather holds on, the popular waterpark states families can start sliding May 8.

MERIDIAN, ID — With an emphasis the posting was not an April Fools joke, Roaring Springs, the popular waterpark in Meridian, announced an opening date of May 8.

"Weather permitting, we are scheduled for a May 8th opening! That’s not an April Fools trick! We are counting down the days for some serious fun in the sun. Who’s ready?", said Thursday's Facebook posting.

Billed as the Northwest's largest waterpark, Roaring Springs is also in the process of hiring lifeguards and pressure washers. Lifeguards are required to be 16-years old while the other positions can be 14 with limited duties.
For this summer, the waterpark includes a wave pool, float river, two family raft rides, bowl slide, four-lane racing slide, tube slides, kiddie play area, and the new Corkscrew Cavern 360 degree looping waterslide.
