Boise Breaks 8-Month Temperature Record

On Tuesday, the temperature hit a sweltering 93 degrees in Boise, which is the highest in months.

BOISE, ID - Boise broke a high-temperature record on Tuesday. When the temperature hit 93 degrees, it was the warmest point in 244 days, dating all the way back to Sept. 28, 2016, according to the National Weather Service. But, Tuesday's high-temp will likely be the hottest day for the foreseeable future.

According to the outlook for the rest of the week, temperatures won't move out of the 80s. And the region is in for a bigger cool-down next week, as temperatures are predicted to head down into the 60s. Here's the seven-day outlook for the Treasure Valley, according to the National Weather Service:

Thursday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 78. Calm wind becoming northwest around 6 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Thursday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 52. West northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm after midnight.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 80. Calm wind becoming west northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 53.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 88.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 56.

Sunday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 84.

Sunday Night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, then a chance of showers after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Monday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 66.

Monday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 47.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 76.
