Boise Camps for Spring Break

As spring break approaches, we have a listing of fun camps to keep the little ones busy.

BOISE, ID—If history holds true, the week before spring break for the Boise School District will be sunny and warm. The week following spring break will also be sunny and warm. The week of spring break, March 22-26, a giant storm will move in with rain, cold temperatures and a household of children complaining of nothing to do.

A number of organizations are available in Boise to keep spring break fun and a learning experience. With the ever changing changes due to COVID, parents are urged to call the organizations for possible cancellations.

The Boise YMCA is offering half-day and day camps for all ages.

Ages 4-6 can choose from the Little Adventure Camp or the Little Monkeys Club. Ages 6-12 have a few more decisions to make including the Spring Fling Camp, Baking 101 Camp, Jr. Chefs Cooking Camp, Slime & Art Camp and the Sensory Variety Camp. For the technology minded student, iD Tech offers camps for a variety of interests. Included are coding classes, Minecraft design, Javascript, and3D game development. The camps are focused from beginning level to advanced and are conducted by live instructors. For more information on any of the camps, contact iD Tech.

For the budding entertainer, the Treasure Valley Children's Theater has two offerings. The Wizard of Oz Camp will allow students to tell stories, create characters and dance in a final performance of the classic story. The Boise Remix Camp takes the camper back to old time radio plays, placing them on the stage, becoming a member of the theater.
