Boise Man Arrested In Child Pornography Case

The U.S. Attorney's Office announced the arrest of 42-year-old Chad Longley of Boise.

BOISE, ID — A Boise man has been arrested for alleged possession of child pornography and is facing possible federal charges.

Chad Longley, 42, a Boise resident, was arrested Monday by investigators from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit. On Wednesday, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Idaho announced the federal agency had filed a criminal complaint against Longley and will be the prosecutors in the case.

The charges Longley will face have not been released and the AG's Office stressed "A complaint is a means of charging a person with criminal activity. It is not evidence."

The attorney general's office asks that anyone with information about exploited children contact police or the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children task force at 208-947-8700.
