Boise Recognized As Top Ten Bicycle Town

BOISE, ID — Across the world, two billion bikes are in use. Lawnstarter recently released rankings of the best and worst places in the United States for cycling.

The method of scoring involved four areas-weather; access to bike routes, bike shops and bike share programs; safety; and community support from bike organizations and groups.

Boise, minus this week's blazing weather undoubtedly, was ranked 9th best for taking to the pedals.

The listing below is the top ten:

1. San Francisco

2. Portland, Oregon

3. Fort Collins, Colorado

4. Eugene, Oregon

5. Minneapolis, Minnesota

6. Seattle, Washington

7. Washington

8. Salt Lake City, Utah

9. Boise, Idaho

10. Boston, Massachusetts

The worst city for grabbing the bike and taking to the road-Baton Rouge.
