Boise's Best Hikes With Your Dog
The weather has turned great, but where can you go if you want to have Fido accompany the family on your hike?

BOISE, ID — The weather is fantastic to get out and enjoy the many trails in and around Boise. If you want to have your friendly four-legged dog accompany you on the trip, here is a listing of trails welcoming dogs and hikers.

Table Rock Trail - Table Rock Trail is a 3.7 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Boise, that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until November. Dogs and horses are also able to use this trail.

The Table Rock park/viewing area is closed from dusk to dawn everyday to ensure public safety, fire safety, and wildlife safety.
Typically a very busy trail used by young and old alike. There are some very steep sections but also other routes to mitigate these. Cell service throughout entire hike. City overlook over the majority of the hike. Main features "the Cross" and "quarry".

Little to NO shade, no water, takes an average person about 45mins to 1hr to hike to the top. Hike to the top and return though there are multiple routes you can take up and back.
Hulls Gulch Nature Trail - Hulls Gulch Nature Trail is a 6.3 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Boise that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
Out and back trip along Upper Hulls Gulch Trail. Started from the parking lot off of N Sunset Peak Rd/8th St. Minor elevation changes, mostly stayed along creek bed. Multiple creek crossings over established bridges in very good condition.
Cervidae Park - Cervidae Peak is a 4.4 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Boise, Idaho that features a lake and is rated as difficult. The trail is primarily used for hiking, running, and bird watching and is best used from March until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
Idaho State Parks charge a day use fee of $7/vehicle. Visitors can also purchase an annual pass, which is $10/vehicle for Idaho residents and $40/vehicle for out of state visitors.
Red Cliffs Nature Center Trail - Red Cliffs Nature Center Trail is a 3 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Boise that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
Going up the Red Cliffs trail is a fairly steady climb, but not lung-busting. Nice views from the top. The rest of the loop hike is level or downhill. Walking the trail with pace provides a good workout.
