Caldwell Man Arrested After Search Near Bogus Basin Road

A man wanted in Caldwell was arrested early Sunday morning after fleeing police and found hiding under a car.

BOISE, ID — A Caldwell man is in custody after fleeing Boise Police, resulting in an early morning search in the area of Bogus Basin Road.

The incident started around 1:30 on Sunday morning. Boise Police began assisting Caldwell Police in searching for a suspect believed to be in the area of Bogus Basin Road. The suspect, Robert Tunison, was wanted in connection to an incident in Caldwell.

Officers spotted the suspect and his vehicle near the 2400 block of N. 15th Street. When the Tunison saw officers, he fled. Officers set up a perimeter and additional resources were called to secure the scene and locate the suspect.

Tunison was located nearby around 3:15 am hiding under a car. He was booked into the Ada County Jail on aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon charges related to the incident in Caldwell and a resisting and obstructing charge in Boise.
