Design Boise's New Library Card

BOISE, ID — City of Boise invites artists to apply for an opportunity to propose new designs for Boise Public Library cards. Five artist(s) or artist teams may be selected as finalists and commissioned to develop a new Library card design for a project budget of $500 per finalist.

The selected finalists will develop finished designs, laid out in the Library card template, which will be provided to the public for a vote. From this vote, it is anticipated that three of the final designs will be selected to be made into Library cards.

HOW DO I APPLY?

1. Mail to the Boise City Department of Arts & History 150 N. Capitol Blvd., Boise, Idaho, 83702. The submission package or envelope SHOULD BE SEALED and PLAINLY MARKED with the following:

1. Via E-mail to publicartsapps@cityofboise.org. The subject line MUST READ: New Library Card Design File names (JPEGS, Proposals, Resume, etc.) shall be named CARD and Artist name (example: CARD-102Smith). All application materials must be submitted in one email with all images and documents included as attachments, not embedded in the email message. PDF work samples will not be accepted. PDF Proposal or Resume file will be accepted.
