The Boise Daily rolls into midweek with a multitude of stories important to you. The state made more money than imagined as a Boise developer paid dearly for a parcel of land. The superintendent of Boise schools is a happy man after a new salary was announced. 2. Since the float season is officially here, a video of the trip seemed to be appropriate to educate those who have not made the trip. The new employee is not a coach or trainer, but Stephanie Donaldson is the university's first-ever director of athletic performance focused on the mental health of athletes. Boise Fact of the Day: The Boise River flows west-southwest near the town of Atlanta, joining the North Fork to form the Boise River, approximately 15 miles (24 km) southeast of Idaho City. The main stream flows southwest into Arrowrock Reservoir, joining the South Fork from the Anderson Ranch Dam.
Boise Community Calendar:
- The City of Boise Public Works Commission will meet Wednesday starting at 4:45 p.m. A look at the agenda can be found here.
- Watershed Wednesday will take place at the Boise WaterShed, 11818 Joplin Road. Visit on Wednesdays this summer for free all-ages activities, crafts, and scientific demonstrations in the outdoor River Campus! Free family fun! No tickets required. For your health and safety, no public water renewal tours will be offered. All activities will take place outdoors, weather permitting. Please note that face masks are encouraged on all guests age 2 and older in the exhibit hall. Face masks are not required outside in the river campus, unless participating in a program or within 6 feet of other guests. Physical distancing between groups is required. No groups of ten or more and no daycares please.
- Kindergarten Readiness takes place on Wednesday starting at 11 a.m. at the Garden City Library. Children will learn the skills they need to get ready for Kindergarten! A free Kindergarten-prep class offered through the library. Call (208) 472-2942 to register.
- Also at the Garden City Library, those ages 13-18 can create their own VR experience starting at 2 p.m. A PC running Windows 10, a Mac running OS X, or a Chromebook is needed. If you do not have Internet or a computer, one will be provided to you (limited). Call (208) 472-2942 to register.
