“Stan grew up in Idaho and has always wanted to find a way to return. He has a strong and wide network here and we are excited to bring our technology and services to the local economy,” said Amy Lawrence, Co-founder of Datum Tech Solutions. “The greater Boise area is one of the fastest growing areas in the United States. There is a lot of opportunity for our business in this rapidly growing area.”
With the second-highest population growth rate of any other state in the last decade, construction is a booming industry in the state with more than 58,000 Idahoans making their living in construction. Even in the midst of a pandemic, construction increased by 2% statewide last year and makes up 6.9% of Idaho’s gross domestic product, according to the Idaho Chapter of Associated General Contractors of America. Construction contributed to $5.6 billion of Idaho’s $80.9 billion in gross domestic product.
“I grew up in Idaho, and the support I received from my community allowed me to become the man I am today,” said Stanely Lawrence, Co-founder of Datum Tech Solutions. “The ability to open this location and work with the friends and family that supported me growing up means a lot to me.”
From real estate and construction to aviation and archeological preservation, Datum Tech is bringing the benefits of its technology to industries all over the globe. Using 3D laser scanning, they managed to assist the Academy of Music in preserving its 160 year old opera house in Philadelphia, breathe new life into Pike Place Market in Seattle and provide scans of two of the most unique aircrafts at the Boeing Museum of Flight. Now, the Datum Tech team is excited to see what they do next in Boise.
