Check Out a Movie Theater
At any time of year, there is no shortage of movie theaters to visit in Boise, but there are some that do stand out. If you're looking for a cheap spot for a movie, head to Overland Park Cinemas, you will be able to see a movie, eat popcorn, and get a drink for just $5! On Tuesdays, the tickets get even cheaper at the price of $1 per ticket. You won't be able to see movies that have just come out, but you will be able to see films that came out that year or years ago. If you want more of an experience, there is the Village Cinema that offers assigned seating and a VIP area for people over 21 to enjoy. The VIP experience provides food and drinks to enjoy while you watch the movie with a full waiter service prior to a showing. Listen to Music
Some of the best times to see musicians perform live are when the weather begins to warm up. Spring and summertime are popular times for music festivals around the world and in Boise. The top music festivals in the area are the Treefort Music Fest and the Boise Music Festival. The Treefort Music Fest is a five-day festival for indie-rock music that runs over five days in Boise. The event is held in the last week of March every year at various venues throughout the city. It has grown since its first festival in 2012 to feature more than just musicians now. If indie isn't your style, check out the Boise Music Festival, which is held during the summer. In 2019, the headlining artist was Pitbull, but there were multiple stages hosting artists from various genres, including Rock, Hip Hop, and Country. The Boise Music Festival is a day filled with music that each member of your family can enjoy.
