- On Monday, we posted a story, receiving a tremendous amount of feedback on social media. The Fourth of July parade in Boise is no more. Organizers announced last year was the final celebration and no plans for a future parade are in the works. (My story)

- Tuesday found the story of a Boise home builder putting down a chunk of cash for a piece of land. Don Day of BoiseDev has the story. (BoiseDev)

- We published good news for West Ada students-no masks will be required in the fall as school doors opens. Nic Streng, reporter for IdEdNews breaks the news the West Ada school board voted Tuesday to remove the mask requirement. Families will have the option to continue wearing masks in the fall. (IdEdNews)

- Thursday found a story of a dog shot by campers after they believed the family pet was a wolf. A family packing trip turned ugly when the family dog was shot twice because she was mistaken for a wolf by another party. The Alaskan malamute survived and Tristan Lewis of KTVB speaks with the dog's owner. (KTVB)

- We wrapped up the week with a Friday story dealing with a Boise neighborhood losing a chance for a park. For more than 25 years, Boise residents were told a park would be developed on 160 acres near Victory Road. Now, the City of Boise has announced plans to swap the land, known as Murgioto Park, for land in the Boise Foothills. The land designated for a park would be turned into housing. Shirah Matsuzawa of KTVB speaks with neighbors that have awaited the park and now potentially will see a housing development. (KTVB)


Boise Fact of the Day: In this year of drought, Lucky Peak will not be full, but at normal full pool, elevation 3,055 feet Mean Sea Level (MSL), is 12 miles long. It has 45 miles of shoreline and 3,019 acres of surface area.

- Join Zoo Boise for Father’s Day Breakfast on Sunday, June 20, 2021 from 9am – 10am.
