Two Arrested After Fight In Park

BOISE, ID — Two Canyon County men sit in Ada County facing felony battery charges and Boise Police are asking the public for assistance from witnesses.

On Saturday, 6/19/2021, just before 5:30 p.m. Boise Police were dispatched to a report of a fight with an injured subject at Ann Morrison Park near the takeout of the Boise River. Police arrived along with Ada County Paramedics and Boise Fire.

Police immediately began an investigation while paramedics and fire treated and transported the injured subject. Based on a preliminary investigation officers learned that the injured subject had been in a fight with at least two other males. Through their investigation officers were able to identify and locate two suspects, Jose Chavez and Cezar Chavez. After further investigation, the suspects were taken to the Ada County Jail and booked in on the listed charges.

There were many witnesses to the fight and BPD is looking to speak with anyone who has not yet spoken with police or who may have video or pictures of the incident. The victim was last listed in critical but stable condition.
