Patch Picks for the upcoming week: Obviously, new organizations are unable to provide the reader with exactly the stories to come. However, taking a look at what happened last week and the schedule of events for this week, here are some ideas of what you will see in the Boise Daily.

1. The Ammon Bundy trial starts Monday dealing with his behavior at the Idaho State Capital. Expect his supporters to be out in force and we will have all the trial's highlights.

2. The Urban Land Trust recently provided a presentation to the Ada County Commissioners with ideas for Expo Idaho. The Boise Daily will report on those ideas and the associated costs for upgrades to the land housing the local fair.

Boise Fact of the Day: Deaths attributable to natural heat exposure, although generally considered preventable, represent a continuing public health concern in the United States. During 2004–2018, an average of 702 heat-related deaths occurred in the United States annually.


Boise Calendar:

- The Household Hazardous Waste Collection for Monday will take place at Meridian Public Services from 12-7 p.m.

- The Historic Preservation Commission will meet Monday starting at 5:30 p.m. at Boise City Hall. The agenda for the meeting can be found here.


Remember, Idaho Power is asking everyone to limit electric use in the evenings. My son used this as an excuse to not do the dishes.
