Weather Alert: High Winds Sunday Evening

Boise could be in for some wild weather starting Sunday night into Monday morning.

BOISE, ID — The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for Harney/Malheur County, the Treasure Valley including Boise, and the western Magic Valley.

The advisory goes into effect at 1 a.m. Monday morning and expires at 6 a.m. Monday morning. Winds could approach or exceed 60 mph during the advisory.

Sunday would be the day to tie down loose objects or relocate items such as trampolines, trash cans and patio furniture. Outside pets should be brought inside.

Sporadic power outages are possible as well as damage to trees.

Temperatures are expected to plunge Monday morning into the 20s or low 30s as the front passes with wind chills in the teens.
