2. The western United States is dry and hot this summer and Idaho is no exception. Recent reports show 98.8 percent of the state is experiencing some form of drought. KTVB staff bring a video showing how bad some of the west is during this early summer. (KTVB)
3. Do you possibly have a camper you're not really using, but do have upcoming nuptials? Marco with liteonline reports a Boise woman is looking to trade her wedding dress for an RV. The unused dress, valued at $3,700 can be obtained for a camper at least 27 feet in length. (liteonline)
4. We go to our friends at BoiseDev for the next story. Don Day reports the Capital City Development Corp. voted to spend at least $879,000 to build six transit stations along Main Street and Fairview Ave. in the west Downtown Boise area. The structures will push the project substantially over the projected budget. (BoiseDev)
5. A former employee of the State Department of Education has settled a whistleblower lawsuit for $150,000, as reported by Semi Edge of IdahoEdNews. A copy of the full complaint against the state is included in the story. (IdahoEdNews)

- The Williamson Family will be opening its cherry orchards to the public for two weekends starting on Friday, June 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bring the whole family and pick a bucket, or two, of these sweet and juicy gems. The Williamson family will be on hand to help guide you on where to go, what to look for in the perfect cherry and how to pick. From there visitors can wander through the trees while picking cherries and enjoying a piece of farm life! - The Fire & Ice Pottery Studio is holding a Kids Night Out Glow Party starting at 5 p.m. This event is great for craft-minded kids, or for parents who just need a night out to themselves (drop the kiddos and go have fun!)! Pizza, drinks, games, and glow-in-the-dark painting activities for kids of all skill levels. This is best for ages 6-15.
- Surel's Place and The Greenbelt Market are partnering to present "Friday Night Art at the Greenbelt Market" each week from 5 to 7 p.m. through October 15.
