ILLINOIS — With a little over a week until Election Day, Illinois voters are showing up in droves to the polls — not to mention the millions who have received mail-in ballots across the state.
As of Friday, the Illinois State Board of Elections said it had mailed more than 2.3 million vote-by-mail ballots and received more than 1 million completed mail-in ballots. Meanwhile, more than 760,000 people have voted early in person, according to the state.

Early numbers should this election could be one for the record books, with record turnout — especially compared to the March primary, which saw voter turnout of just 28.6 percent in Illinois.
