ILLINOIS — Despite unemployment claims rising this week for the first time since record layoffs in March, a good number of employers are still searching for workers in Illinois.
The state has set up Get Hired Illinois, a new website with more than 60,000 job postings, free vocational courses and virtual job fairs.
"The financial stability and success of our residents is key to getting Illinois' economy back on its feet," Gov. J.B. Pritzker said when the website first launched. "Illinois won't be restored until our workers and families have the opportunities and resources they need to build and fill their lives. That's why my administration is working with businesses and industries across the state to encourage more employers to utilize the Get Hired website."
