#1 Eclipse Day at Saluki Stadium
Join the co-eds at Southern Illinois University for an arena-style solar eclipse experience. The doors open for this exclusive event at 9 a.m. and the festivities kick off at 10 a.m. The event will feature expert speakers from both the Louisiana Space Consortium and The Adler Planetarium of Chicago.

Camp out in Carbondale for an eclipse experience made better by hard rock soundtrack. Shadow Fest will feature several popular local tribute bands, like Big Love, Johnny Rock and Superjam. All of the concerts are free and open to the public. You can view the complete Shadow Fest lineup and plan your total solar eclipse experience today.
Post up at one of Illinois' most popular alehouses for an incredible view of the total solar eclipse. You can order a pint of one of their signature beers, brewed and bottle in house, before heading out back to snag a seat for the solar show. Big Muddy Brewing does not take reservations, so be sure to get there early if you want a seat.
