Party Placement Lottery for the November 6, 2018 General Election

Will County Clerk, Nancy Schultz Voots, is notifying Will County residents on Tuesday, May 8 at 9:00 AM, in the Will County Clerk’s Office, a lottery will be held to determine the order in which the major political parties will appear on the November 6 General Election ballot in Will County.

On April 18, the established political parties held their county convention. During their conventions, Marianne DeMeritt was elected as the Will County Republican Central Committee Chairman and Bill Thoman was elected as the Will County Democrat Central Committee Chairman. The new chairmen of the established political parties have been notified about the lottery, as they will be the individuals (or a representative of their choice) participating in the lottery.
