• What: Fresh off 2018's “Egypt Station," former Beatle Paul McCartney’s Freshen Up tour kicks off in May and heads to Illinois in June. In past performances, McCartney has treated fans to songs from the Beatles era, Wings and his new releases.

New Kids On The Block and Salt-N-Pepa

• What: Donnie, Danny, Jordan, Jonathan and Joe reunite. The '80s teen heartthrobs and original boy band bring their pop music — from hits like "Hangin' Tough" and "Step by Step" to "You Got It (The Right Stuff)" — back to Illinois, where Donnie Wahlberg now lives with wife Jenny McCarthy. Featuring a performance by hip-hop group Salt-N-Pepa, known for hits like "Push It" and "Shoop."

Nick Offerman

• What: Actor and Illinois native Nick Offerman — who grew up in Minooka — comes to the Chicago Theatre. The new live show "All Rise" is the "Parks and Recreation" star's first tour since 2017. "All Rise" is described as "an evening of deliberative talking and light dance that will compel you to chuckle whilst enjoining you to brandish a better side of humanity."

Lollapalooza

• What: The four-day music festival featuring headliners Ariana Grande, Shaquille O'Neal (Diesel), Childish Gambino, Twenty One Pilots, The Chainsmokers, J Balvine, Tame Impala, the Strokes and more

We Will Rock You

• What: "With the Oscar-winning film 'Bohemian Rhapsody,' the music of Queen is more popular than ever. WE WILL ROCK YOU follows two revolutionaries, Galileo and Scaramouche, on a quest to save rock n’ roll in a post-apocalyptic world where there are no musical instruments and rock n’ roll has died." Based on the songs of Queen and the book by Ben Elton and featuring Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor as music supervisors.
