Please, do it as soon as possible - HB2789 is scheduled for committee hearing this Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. If it passes, it will wipe out all power of the Illinois public and nonpublic school boards during a state health emergency.

If this passes, no matter how your public or nonpublic school board votes regarding anything related to Covid, it will be overpowered by ISBE and IDPH. So, if IDPH and IBSE mandate masks, you must follow. If they mandate the injection of the experimental substance for in-person learning, you must follow. If they mandate weekly staff or student Covid tests, you must follow. If they mandate contact tracing, you must follow, and so on.

If this bill passes, the Illinois public and nonpublic school boards will not be able to vote against it, or they will be forced to 100% E-learning and possibly lose their school recognition if they don't obey. So, please, do not hesitate and fill out this witness slip! Please, oppose this bill!

The next Executive Committee session is Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 1:30 PM, but the sooner you do it the better.
