ILLINOIS ? Severe weather is possible once again Wednesday for the Chicago area. Storms could bring heavy rain, damaging winds and damaging hail, and there is a "low end threat" for a tornado or two, according to the National Weather Service.
Heavy rain could result in flash flooding, especially around the Chicago metro area.
Severe storms could move into the area Wednesday afternoon.

"While uncertainty remains with the extent of this severe threat due to early morning clouds and rainfall, if sufficient destabilization materializes, the storms this afternoon could become severe," the weather service said on its Facebook.

DuPage, Cook and Will counties remain under a flash flood watch until 7 p.m. Wednesday. The weather service said creeks and streams could rise out of their banks, and flooding could occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
