3 Families Displaced​ In Algonquin House Fire: Report

No one was injured in the blaze, fire officials said.

ALGONQUIN, IL — Fire crews in Algonquin and Lake In The Hills this week extinguished a "heavy fire" in a townhouse in the 2600 block of Williamsburg Drive.

According to a social media post from the fire department, crews responded to the fire just before 11 p.m. and noticed fire and smoke coming from the building.

No one was injured in the blaze, and much of the home was spared, according to the post.

The Daily Herald reports the fire was extinguished in about 10 minutes. Three families were displaced in the fire.
