Algonquin Holiday Lights Recycling Program
From November 19, 2019, through January 22, 2020, the Village of Algonquin will be accepting holiday lights from residents for recycling.
From November 19, 2019, through January 22, 2020, the Village of Algonquin will be accepting holidays lights from residents for recycling at the Ganek Municipal Center (2200 Harnish Drive).
The Holiday Lights Recycling Program, offered through Elgin Recycling, is a partnership with communities in the area to reduce the amount of recyclable material from holiday lights that is deposited into landfills during the holiday season. Last year, the Holiday Lights Recycling Program diverted 51,691 lbs of holiday lights from landfills across the 27 participating communities.

It is asked that you remove lights from boxes and remove all plastic, garland, tinsel, etc. prior to placing items in the recycle container.
