Algonquin Libraries Offering Outdoor Story Time
In-person story time is back at Algonquin Library District libraries.
ALGONQUIN, IL — In-person story time has returned to Algonquin libraries.
The popular tradition took a break during COVID-19 but is now being offered again ... but, only outdoors at this time, according to library officials.
Here is a look at upcoming options for story time, as well as ongoing Zoom classes for kids, at Algonquin libraries:

Outdoor Baby Story Time
- When: Friday, May 14 (registration is required)
- Where: Harnish Main building - outdoor patio
- Ages: 0 to 23 months
- What you need to know: There will be a story and some songs and rhymes. No older siblings; Algonquin card is required. During outdoor programs, social distancing will be observed and masks are mandatory for ages 2 years and older. Outdoor programs are weather dependent and may be canceled at any time.
Zoom Music & Movement
- When: 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 15
- Ages: Preschoolers, families, babies/toddlers
- What you need to know: There will be songs, stories and dancing. Registration is required.
Outdoor Music & Movement: Ages 0 to 5 With Caregiver
- When: 11 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 25
- Where: Harnish Main (Building) - Outdoor Patio
- Ages: Preschool, babies/toddlers
- What you need to know?: A fun half hour full of singing and dancing. Registration is required. During outdoor programs, social distancing will be observed, and masks are mandatory for ages 2 years and older. Outdoor programs are weather dependent and may be canceled at any time.
