Algonquin Police: Warrant Arrest, Domestic Battery, Retail Theft, DUI,

Police reports from March 28-30.

Note: The following information was obtained from Algonquin Police Department arrest reports. An arrest is only an accusation and does not constitute guilt. An individual can only be found guilty in a court of law.

Domestic Battery

Amber S. Mason, 24, of Williamsburg Drive, Algonquin, was charged with two counts domestic battery and criminal damage to property on March 29, according to reports.

Retail Theft

Nancy L. Blanchard, 57, of 2661 Melbourne Lane, Lake in the Hills, was charged with retail theft on March 29, police said. Blanchard was taken into custody at Walmart, 1410 S. Randall Road and later released on a notice to appear, with a court date of May 29 in McHenry County.

A sixteen-year-old female from Elgin was charged with retail theft and resisting a peace officer on March 30, police said.  She was taken into custody at Walmart, 1410 S. Randall Rd. She was formally petitioned into juvenile court and then released into the custody of her parents.

DUI

Viola G. Flores, 49, of 221 Basswood Drive, Naperville, was charged with driving under the influence, no proof of insurance, failure to reduce speed and failure to yield right of way on March 29, reports stated.

She was taken into custody at Eineke Drive and Harnish Drive.  She was released after posting $100 and her Illinois driver’s license, with a court date of May 1 in McHenry County.

Violation of Bail Bond

John R. Berg, 60, of 1114 Pine Street, Lake in the Hills, was charged with violation of bail bond on March 29, according to police. He was taken into custody at Eineke Drive and Harnish Drive.

Suspended License

Samantha Godsted, 24, of 1471 Woodscreek Circle, Crystal Lake, was charged with driving with a license suspended on March 28 and was taken into custody for a Cook County warrant on driving under the influence, police said. She posted bond on each charge.
