ALGONQUIN, IL — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.
This submission comes from Alan Mozola who nominated his wife, Virginia Mozola, and a co-worker of his wife, Kami Tobey. Kami and Virginia both work at Clarendale of Algonquin, which is a senior living community in town.

Reason for recognition: She has worked every day at Clarendale of Algonquin assisting the elderly residents get thru the everyday stress of the pandemic during their lock down and quarantine periods, she has shopped for them, entertained them and consoled them.

Reason for recognition: Kami is the director of activities at Clarendale of Algonquin, she has orchestrated programs that keep the elderly residents busy and occupied during the trying times of this virus, she has not missed a beat even thru child birth and now surgery.
