  • The first home is a country club estate located on the 9th hole of the Boulder Ridge Golf Course. This house features a gourmet kitchen, artistically painted walls and stunning fireplaces. The backyard overlooks the golf course, is beautifully landscaped, has an outdoor fireplace, pond and a Bocce Ball court.
  • The next home on the walk is a renovated Cape Cod located in the gates of Lakewood. This home has a lot of history. The home was first established in 1922 and the front yard is home to the oldest Ash tree in Crystal Lake. The interior of the home features original wood floors, original windows and many renovations done by the homeowner.
  • Just one block over, also located in the Gates of Lakewood, is the third home on this year’s tour. The home is a “beautiful Mediterranean escape“ and another home with historical roots. Built in 1927 by John Barrett, the vice president of International Harvester, the home has also gone through many additions which include hand painted Mexican tile, formal gardens and a concrete swimming pool.
  • The final house on the walk is a “spectacular white colonial” with resort-like poolside setting in the backyard. The home is creatively decorated throughout with contemporary rustic decor. The backyard is “beautifully landscaped” and has an in ground pool and a cabana complete with a TV and fire table.

The housewalk is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Service League, last year raising over $25,000 for those in need in Crystal Lake. All the proceeds from all the Service League events go back to the community in the form of scholarships to students or assistance to those in need in the community.

Tickets can also be purchased at the following businesses: Around the Clock Restaurant & Bakery, Countryside Flower Shop, Nursery and Garden Center, Dalzell & Co., 1776 Restaurant, Twisted Stem Floral, Wickham Interiors Inc., Yours & Meyn Simply Designed, and Mueller Interiors Inc.
