District 300 School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in District 300 is August 15. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. District 300 has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 9/22: Early Release (K-12)

October

• 10/6: No School for Students (Teacher Institute)
• 10/9: No School (Columbus Day)
• 10/27: Early Release (K-12)

November

• 11/17: Early Release (K-12)
• 11/20 - 11/21: No School for Students (Parent - Teacher Conferences)
• 11/22 - 11/24: No School (Fall Break)

December

• 12/15: Early Release (K-12)
• 12/22 - 1/5: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1 - 1/5: No School (Winter Break)
• 1/15: No School (Martin Luther King Day)
• 1/19: Early Release (K-12)

February

• 2/16: Early Release (K-12)
• 2/19: No School (Presidents Day)

March

• 3/2: No School for Students (Teacher Institute)
• 3/9: Early Release (K-12)
• 3/26 - 3/30: No School (Spring Break)

April

• 4/2: No School (only if no emergency days have been used)

• 5/24: Last Day of School (if no emergency days are used)
