ALGONQUIN, IL — A pop-up farmers market outside Riverbottom Ice Cream Co. in downtown Algonquin will return this summer.

The village of Algonquin approved a special event permit last week to allow a tent and table to be set up for the farmers market every Sunday from May through October in front of the ice cream shop at the intersection of Main and Washington streets, according to village documents.

The farmers market will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting on May 2 and continuing on every Sunday through Oct. 31.
