Firefighters Save Dog From Burning Home

The Carpentersville blaze broke out at about 10:45 p.m. Sunday. No one was injured and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

CARPENTERSVILLE, IL — Firefighters saved a crated dog from a burning home in Carpentersville Sunday night, fire officials said. The blaze broke out at about 10:45 p.m. in the 100 block of Old Farm Lane and appears to have started outside the back of the home before spreading to the attic, the Daily Herald is reporting.

No one was injured and the fire caused about $100,000 in damage to the home, which has been deemed uninhabitable. Fire officials told the Daily Herald the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
