Flood Warning Continues For Fox River
A flood warning has been issued through Friday evening for the Fox River in Algonquin and Montgomery.

A flood warning is in effect for the Fox River in Montgomery and Algonquin through Friday evening, according to the National Weather Service. According to the United States Geological Survey, flood stage on the river in Montgomery is 13 feet. The river had reached 13.54 feet as of Tuesday morning. At the Algonquin Tailwater, the river was at 9.71 feet, surpassing the 9.5-foot flood stage.
Weather officials are reminding drivers to turn around and to not drive through a flooded roadway. A flood warning has also been issued for Des Plaines River near Gurnee.
It didn't appear additional rain was in the forecast for Kane County on Tuesday. The NWS predicted a partly cloudy day Tuesday and sunny skies with a high near 80 on Wednesday. More sunshine and a high of 83 was in the forecast for Thursday, with a slight chance of showers and storms late Friday night.
