Foul Play Not Suspected After Unconscious Man Pulled From River
An unidentified 37-year old man was hospitalized after a bystander noticed discovered him unconscious in the Fox River before being rescued.

ALGONQUIN, IL – A 37-year-old man was hospitalized in critical condition after he was pulled from the Fox River Friday night, police said.
Algonquin Police along with members of the Algonquin-Lake In The Hills Fire Protection District were called to the Fox River near Illinois Rt. 62 shortly after 7 p.m. after a bystander discovered an unconscious man in the river, police indicated in a news release.
Police have not released the identity of the man.

The bystander, along with police and fire officials, were able to pull the man from the river and he was taken to Northwestern Huntley Hospital, where he was reported in critical condition. A police spokeswoman said Monday that police do not have an update on the man’s condition at this time.
Although an investigation is ongoing, foul play is not suspected at this time, police said. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Algonquin Police Department at (847) 658-4531.
