Huntley Tea Party Explores How to Keep Property Taxes Down

Tea Party hosts guest speaker from Property Tax Action Group at its May 8 meeting.

 

The Huntley Area Tea Party makes May “action” month with a guest speaker from the Property Tax Action Group at its May 8 meeting.

The Tea Party is having a lunch beginning at 12:30 p.m. at Golden Corral, 1591 S. Randall Road, Algonquin. The restaurant will provide lunch. Attendees must mention “Tea Party meeting” to receive a chosen meal and free drink.

Guest speaker is Alan Scott of the Property Tax Action Group who will discuss ways the group aims to keep property taxes down and how Tea Party members can seek equity and fairness in tax assessments.

Scott will also discuss the importance of local taxing district meetings and our participation there.  We’ll learn what can be done to help achieve each of those two important goals here.
