Illegal Firearms In Apartment Linked To Other Crimes, Police Say
Police searched the apartment after responding to a call of an attempted carjacking in the area.

WOODSTOCK, IL — Officials responded to a call of an attempted carjacking on the 700 block of Prairie View Lane last week, but left the scene of the incident with two in custody on charges of illegally modified weapons.
On Thursday, June 3, responding officers arrived at the scene where an Uber driver had left his vehicle. The driver told police he feared for his life after he said the two men he was driving made disturbing comments. He ran from his car as soon as they reached their destination.
Authorities said they met the two passengers at an apartment in the Prairie View Apartment Complex and that evidence in "plain view of officers" led to a search warrant of their unit where multiple pieces of evidence were found. Officers did not say what evidence was in plain view.

Only one of the suspects, 19-year-old Alonzo Hall, could be identified as the other is a minor. Hall is currently in custody at the McHenry County Jail, while the juvenile is at the Kane County Juvenile Justice Center in St. Charles.
