James C. Wells, 80, of Twin Lakes, Wis., Longtime Crystal Lake Resident

James C. Wells, 80, of Twin Lakes, Wis. passed away on November 26, 2013 in Woodstock. 

Born July 4, 1933 in Elgin, James was raised in Crystal Lake by Marvin and Irene Wells.

He graduated from Crystal Lake High School in 1951, and enlisted in the United States Air Force before graduating from the University of Denver.

James also worked for Oak Industries for over 30 years as a sales manager.

He looked forward to his monthly luncheon with his high school classmates and enjoyed spending time in his trailer by the lake. James will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, and wonderful grandfather. 

James is survived by his children, Devera Denker, Gretchen (David) Carlson, and James (Kristine) Wells; grandchildren, Rachel, Tessa, Haley, and Marissa; sister, Janet Narowetz; and brother, Tony Wells. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Eileen; and daughter, Valerie. 

A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at noon at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Route 176, Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
