Lake In The Hills Sets Prescribed Burns For Wednesday

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — TGF Enterprises on Wednesday will conduct prescribed burning in the Harvest Gate Detention area.

Residents nearby could see smoke near Harvest Gate and Autumn Ridge Road, the Village of Lake In The Hills said in a social media post.

According to the National Park Service, prescribed or controlled burns rids fire-risk areas of flammable fuels that could lead to a destructive wildfire if left untreated.
